Description Toxin identified from mRNA showing strong sequence homologies to the insecticidal μ-agatoxin-Aa1 from the venom of the related species Agelenopsis aperta that induces an irreversible spastic paralysis when injected into insects by modifying presynaptic voltage-gated sodium channels, causing them to open at the normal resting potential of the nerve.
